The Miha Artnak is a versatile artist of visual communications. He graduated at the Academy of Fine Arts and Design in Ljubljana, Visual Communications track.
He has received a number of international awards and recognitions at renowned events including the Brumen, Golden Drum, Slovenian Advertising Festival (SOF), Magdalena, “Etudiants, tous à Chaumont!”, Identity: Best of the Best, Biennale of Visual Communication, Memefest ...
He has participated in numerous exhibitions, among which the most noted was the Graffitists and the Street Art exhibition, both held at the International Center of Graphic Arts (MGLC) in Ljubljana. They were a stepping stone for the expansion of visual culture outside gallery walls. He was invited to participate in the Street Art exhibition in Budapest, Hungary, the largest graffiti festival in Europe, held in Brighton, UK, the 1st Biennale of Independent Illustration in Ljubljana, where he was active in the promotional activity and setting-up; and the XIII Edition of the Biennial of young artist from Europe and the Mediterranean in Puglia, Italy, where he and his fellow artists presented their undertaking, entitled 4+. Along with his team, he exhibited at the Belgrade Design Week in 2009; in NLB gallery and Slovenian Embassy in Washington.
In 2007 he held a lecture at Pecha Kucha on the development of typography and presented his activity inside the crew in the field of the visual. In 2009 he and his team were invited to hold a lecture on Visual Contamination in Belgrade, Serbia and a lecture at SOF in 2010.
He published a book in 2009 entitled Now I Exist
He is the co-founder of the creative group ZEK (www.zek.si)
His latest project is with a slovenian composer of modern classical music Angel Palka for this years' SIFF2010 in October working as a visual director of the spectacle (www.siff.si)
